Everton manager Sean Dyche has been positive about Dele Alli's progress in training.

“Dyche is pleased with the progress Alli has been making in pre-season training,” Sky Sports reported on Monday (Aug. 28). He is currently out of contract with Everton but has been given the opportunity to continue training with the team,” Sky Sports reported.

According to the outlet, Dyche said of Alli: “He's getting fitter and fitter. Of course, he's only just started training. I'm not thinking about his contract situation at all. He's just with us and he's getting better and better.”

Alli is an English midfielder born in 1996. He joined Tottenham ahead of the 2015-16 season and quickly became a favorite of Mauricio Pochettino. Alli was an integral part of the “DESK” line alongside Son Heung-min, Eriksen, and Harry Kane. In the 2016-17 season, he scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 37 Premier League (PL) appearances.

The accolades came naturally. He was named to the England national soccer team and was estimated to be worth more than £100 million. However, Alli's glory days were short-lived. After Pochettino"s departure, his position faltered dramatically.

Alli wasn"t in the best shape. This led to ups and downs in his performances, and he was shunned by all the managers who succeeded Pochettino, including Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, and Antonio Conte. Eventually, Alli left Tottenham midway through the 2021-22 season and joined Everton on loan.

But even at Everton, he failed to rebound. In his first season, he made 11 league appearances, but only one start. He didn't score any goals. After failing to make an impression, Alli was loaned out again to Besiktas ahead of last season.

But Ali's time in Turkiye was not without its challenges. He quickly made his debut, but as time went on, he 메이저사이트 was hampered by a rumored feud with coach Señor Guinness and injury problems. Alli eventually returned to Everton without much success.

Last summer, Ali made a shocking confession. “My mother was an alcoholic and I was molested when I was 6 years old,” Ali said in an interview on Gary Neville's YouTube channel Overlap. I started smoking cigarettes when I was 7, and by the time I was 8, I was dealing drugs,” she said.

“I was adopted into a family when I was 12 years old. When I think about what my new parents did for me, I don't think anyone could have done more for me. If God made a person, they would be my new parents.”

His next confession was equally surprising. “When I came back from Turkuye, I was found to be in a very bad state mentally. So I decided to go to a psychiatric rehabilitation center. They treat addiction, mental health, trauma, and more.” Indeed, Ali did receive treatment at a rehab center.

Ali didn't play a single game last season. In addition to the mental aftereffects, he had other injuries and needed time to recover. For now, he"s focused solely on his rehabilitation, leaving behind the rumors of his departure.

Everton are also looking out for him. Everton director Kevin Telwell said: “His contract is coming to an end. However, our medical staff will continue to support him until he completes his ongoing rehabilitation program following surgery earlier this year. It is important that his contractual situation is not affected at this critical time in his recovery.”

It's also possible that Ali could sign a new contract if he shows promise during the preseason. The problem is his existing contract. Alli has played 13 games in an Everton shirt so far. If he plays seven more games, Everton will have to pay Tottenham £10 million. This needs to be resolved.
